Seeing things through others' eyes

It’s odd how people generalize everything by their own measurements. If someone likes a particular thing, he/she is appalled by others around not liking it. If someone gets tired after a dance, it means that everybody should also get tired as quickly. If someone gets hungry after eating an apple, everyone else is supposed to be hungry. Do we ever stop to think that such a perspective actually trespasses other people’s right to be different from us? Do we ever think of how selfish we are when we expect others to behave as we do? Do we ever realize that other people’s disposition is not meant to be changed by us, that we must, from time to time, listen to their needs and forget our egocentricity?…

Te acuerdas de mi

Soy el mismo de ayer
Aunque ya no respondo como antes
Me tendrias que ver
Cuando ya no se encumbra el deseo
Y entre charlas de Borges
Y de Garcia Marquez
Busco un mejor momento...
